Halloween III (1982)

Wiki Article

The following is a slogan that will be used for the flick: "Witchcraft enters the computer age, and a different terror begins."

Nearly all Halloween fanatics were turned off by the 1982 picture Halloween 3 because Myers isn't in it as he was in Halloween and the second Halloween film.

When executive producers John Carpenter and Debra Hill were working on Halloween 3: Season of the Witch, they had the concept that it would be the first installment in a Halloween movie anthology, in which a new Halloween film would be released around the time of the holiday yearly. I think it was a fantastic concept, and I really wish that they could have developed it further. Unfortunately, that wasn't how things turned out to be.

In the days leading up to Halloween, Dr. Daniel Challis (Tom Atkins) finds himself at the center of a strange mystery when a patient he was caring for is murdered with a Halloween mask in the hospital.

In Santa Mira, Dr. Challis and Ellie (Stacey Nelkin), the daughter of the dead man, head to the headquarters of the Silver Shamrock, which makes the hottest Halloween mask on the planet. Silver Shamrock's marketing campaign (with a jingle you won't soon forget) has helped Silver Shamrock sell millions of masks all around the U.S..

(The Silver Shamrock factory was built in an old milk factory, which is an interesting fact.)

In addition to that, parents have instructed their children to watch a Halloween-themed show while they are still dressed up in their costumes. As Dr. Challis and Ellie investigate the situation further, they come to the conclusion that Conal Cochran, the CEO of Silver Shamrock and played by Dan O'Herlihy, is planning something that would result in the deaths of thousands or possibly millions of innocent people.

Halloween III has nothing to do with Myers, Loomis, Laurie Strode, or Haddonfield, except for a few brief scenes where the first Halloween is shown on TV. But it is still a fun movie, and even though it is different from the first two, Halloween III: Season of the Witch is still fun on its own.

The film isn't perfect, but it does have a few memorable sequences, the finest of which is when Cochran tries his scheme on Buddy Kupfer's family, a salesperson who was granted a VIP tour of the facility after selling so several masks.

Little Buddy is locked in a room to watch the Halloween show. the Silver Shamrock mask causes trouble. The carnage is unforgetable. Conal Cochran's history lesson on Halloween is also memorable.

While I like the Halloween films, particularly Halloween 3: Season of the Witch, everything that came after concentrated on Michael Myers. One thing I can't help but wonder is what tales may have been explored if Carpenter and Hill had been able to stick to their initial idea for the series.

Fans don't like Halloween 3: Season of the Witch, but that's not really their fault. Instead, I think the person who added the number "3" to this movie is to blame.

Obviously, it's all gone now, but the fact that I truly loved Halloween III makes John Carpenter's great breakdown this article all the more tough to accept.

The director is Tommy Lee Wallace.

It's a movie with Tom Atkins and Stacey Nelkin in it, as well as Dan O'Herlihy.
